Most of Ansel Adams photography are shown in black and white to reveal value. In addition, his photos are mostly of nature. In order to capture an "Ansel Adams" photograph, you would have to pick specific times of the day to get a satisfying image that displays value, usually sunrise and sunset.
This photo was taken during a camping trip and I realized that it was suitable for an Ansel Adams photo. The element of value is highly expressed through the use of light and dark colors. The objects in the photo display unity because they are related to nature.
